Grrrrrrrrrr Facebook! We have a great community there, but as a content creator, they're basically evil to me. I posted a picture of an old otter statue recently, suggesting it looked like it was holding a satellite dish, and a few days later I was rewarded with a lovely “violation” for selling ancient Egyptian artifacts. They then proceeded to restrict my page so that nobody gets to see their beloved Steve posts as much as before.
I appealed, but you can’t talk to anyone; you’re 100% at Facebook's mercy. This really bothered me. I love the community we’ve created, and seeing how precarious it is has led me here to Substack, Steve’s new home.
I would explain what Substack is, but I’m still learning myself. Basically, it’s a place where I can post Steve content, and you can receive updates by email. I’m told it’s amazing… and, to be fair, it does look like it could work well for us.
So for now, I guess I’m suggesting you subscribe while I work out how to drive this thing. Then Steve can do his part, and get down to business….
I've heard talk of substack, but had no idea what it was. But, if it's where Steve is, sign me up.
Subscribed! I might have stolen a picture of Steve for my profile picture. I know he's not a badger but I'm trying my best 😅
